Tom Lavia

Tom Lavia is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Nuveen, a TIAA company, since July 2019. Previously, Lavia held the position of Managing Director and Senior Analyst at Relational Investors LLC for a brief period in late 2011. Lavia began tenure at NWQ Investment Management in December 2011 as a Managing Director and Research Analyst. Earlier career experience includes a role as a Junior Equity Analyst at Robertson Stephens from 1999 to 2002. Tom Lavia obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, between 1993 and 1997.
