Matthew Hall

Matthew Hall serves as the Nuclear Safety Requirements Lead at NUWARD since September 2023. Matthew has extensive experience in the nuclear engineering sector, previously holding the position of Commissioning Manager at EDF Energy from October 2017 to October 2023, where responsibilities included managing regulatory compliance and developing a Nuclear Safety Case for a new build Pressurised Water Reactor. Prior to that, Matthew was a Lead Engineer at EDF, contributing to operational governance for the UK EPR reactor project. With a background that includes roles as a Nuclear Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler and Atkins, Matthew has developed operational documentation, performed safety assessments, and managed interface operations, showcasing a strong foundation in nuclear safety and engineering. Matthew holds a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Physics and Technology of Nuclear Reactors from the University of Birmingham.
