Chris Nelson is a seasoned water resources engineer with over two decades of experience in river restoration. They have worked at various organizations, including River Design Group, Inc., where they collaborated on restoration efforts across Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. Currently, Chris serves as the Lead Restoration Engineer at NV5, following a role as a Senior Water Resource Engineer at SWCA Environmental Consultants. They began their career at Water Consulting, Inc. and have also held engineering positions in Snohomish County, contributing expertise in flood hazard mitigation and fish habitat restoration. Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Water Resource Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman.
