David Williard has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David is currently working as a Principal at NV5, specifically in the Clean Energy division. This role was acquired through the merger of Sage Energy Consulting with NV5, an international engineering consulting firm.

Before joining NV5, David was the Principal and Founder of Sage Energy Consulting, which they co-founded in 2009. Sage Energy Consulting is an energy planning and project management firm specializing in new-to-market and clean technologies. Prior to that, they attended The Ohio State University from 1997 to 1999, and Clemson University from 1993 to 1995, where they focused on Environmental Education and Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology respectively. David is also a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and holds a LEED AP certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
