Avi Gholap

Avi Gholap has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology sectors. Avi is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at nVent HOFFMAN since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Electrolux as the Director of R&D Food Preservation from June 2021 to July 2023. Before that, Avi held the position of Director of Refrigeration Technology at Johnson Controls – Hitachi Air Conditioning from August 2018 to June 2021. From April 2015 to July 2018, they served as the Director of Engineering at Johnson Controls. Avi also has experience working as an Engineering Manager and Senior R&D Project Manager at Nortek Global HVAC from 2010 to 2015. Avi was a Manager of Technology & Components at Carrier from January 2007 to March 2010. Prior to that, Avi worked at Electrolux Major Appliances as a Lead Engineer from April 2005 to December 2006. Avi started their career at Carrier as a Senior Engineer at Beverage Air from February 2002 to March 2005. Avi began their professional journey as an Engineer R&D at Blue Star Limited from August 1998 to July 2000.

Avi Gholap holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, which they obtained from 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, they had earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University from 2000 to 2002. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, which they completed from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Avi Gholap has obtained several certifications including "Software Design: Developing Effective Requirements" and "Agile Product Owner Role: Techniques" from LinkedIn, as well as a CBP™ Project Management Certification from the International Business Training Association (IBTA).
