Matthew Smith currently serves as Associate General Counsel for M&A and Enterprise at nVent since January 2024. Previously, Matthew held the position of Assistant General Counsel for M&A and Ventures, as well as Corporate Counsel at Land O'Lakes, Inc. from October 2015 to January 2024. Matthew also contributed to the Cycling Museum of Minnesota as Director and Vice Chair from December 2014 to January 2017. Earlier in Matthew's career, experience was gained at Dorsey & Whitney LLP from September 2007 to October 2015 as an attorney, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions, Agribusiness, Cooperatives, Electric Associations, Capital Markets, and Venture Capital and Emerging Companies within the Corporate group. Matthew holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School (2004-2007) and a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (2000-2004).
