Umar Hussain is a seasoned media executive currently serving as Head of Media at Navigate since May 2024. Prior to this role, Hussain held the position of Vice President, Content Distribution & Partnerships at Comcast Spectacor from January 2021 to December 2022. From January 2019 to December 2020, Hussain was the Director of Global Media Distribution and Business Development at the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, Hussain worked at Disney and ESPN Media Networks in various roles including Senior Account Manager in Affiliate Sales and Manager of Global Distribution Strategy from February 2014 to November 2018, as well as a Senior Business Analyst. Hussain began a career in sports writing at Defy Magazine from May 2012 to August 2013 and completed a Business Strategy Internship at Disney and ESPN Media Networks in summer 2012. Hussain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Journalism from UC Irvine and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
