Alex Hyder is an engineering leader with extensive experience in autonomous vehicles, simulation, and video games. They began their career as a software engineer at NASA's Johnson Space Center and subsequently held various roles in software development and project management with companies such as Bell-Northern Research, Nortel, and Motorola. From 2004 to 2012, Alex served as Development Director/Producer at Electronic Arts, where they contributed to iconic franchises like Medal of Honor and Need for Speed. They later directed engineering at Presagis and currently lead DRIVE Sim at NVIDIA, focusing on creating groundbreaking game visuals. Alex holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
