Ashraful Islam

Ashraful Islam is a seasoned researcher and engineer with expertise in deep learning and computer vision. Ashraful completed a PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where the focus was on learning from limited-labeled data through the development of deep-learning models for action localization, few-shot classification, and transfer learning. Previous roles include a Research Intern at Kitware Inc., where a deep learning algorithm for image and video forgery detection was created, and a Research Intern at Microsoft, concentrating on self-supervised multi-task representation learning for 3D computer vision. Current work as a Sr. Deep Learning Engineer at NVIDIA involves perception for autonomous vehicles. Other experiences include research at IBM on contrastive representation learning and completing a Master of Science in Computer Engineering, also from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
