Chester Chen

Chester Chen is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in product management, data science engineering, and machine learning. Currently serving as the Acting Product Manager for Federated Learning at NVIDIA since March 2022, Chester leads the development of the open-source Federated Learning Product NVIDIA FLARE, overseeing product strategy, marketing, and engineering project execution. Prior to NVIDIA, Chester held significant roles at GoPro, where responsibilities included directing data science engineering and managing analytics platforms, along with leadership positions at Alpine Data Labs and Tinga Technologies. Chester is also the founder and organizer of the SF Big Analytics Meetup, actively engaging with various industry professionals and academia. Chester earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering.
