Colin Compas

Colin Compas is a seasoned professional in the fields of healthcare and life sciences, currently serving as Director of Solutions Architecture at NVIDIA since March 2017, after holding roles as Senior Manager and Manager in the same department. Compas leads a team focused on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning technical engagements in healthcare, having supported the development of AI solutions for deep learning pipelines. Prior to NVIDIA, Compas was a Research Staff Member at IBM, where significant contributions included developing an image analysis pipeline for cardiac valve analysis and disease detection modules in cardiac MRI. Earlier roles included postdoctoral research in automatic analysis of X-ray images and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University, where relevant work occurred on motion tracking algorithms in echocardiography. Academic credentials also include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University and Vanderbilt University, respectively.
