Darren Hsu

Darren Hsu is a Solutions Architect at NVIDIA since January 2023, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from April 2021 to January 2023, where a transformer-based AI model for predicting protein-ligand structures was developed. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at AstraZeneca from October 2020 to April 2021, advanced molecular dynamics sampling protocols were created to analyze cryoEM datasets. At Northwestern University (2015-2020), leadership was demonstrated through the Academics for Careers in Data Science (ACiDS) student group and the Research Safety Student Initiative (RSSI), alongside a Ph.D. candidacy in Biophysical Chemistry focused on protein intermediates and collaboration in beamline instrument development. Teaching experience includes supervising general chemistry labs and providing academic support to undergraduate students. Education includes a B.S. in Theoretical Chemistry from National Taiwan University (2011-2015) and a high school diploma from NEHS in Taiwan (2008-2011).
