Fangkai Yang

Fangkai Yang is an experienced engineering manager at NVIDIA, where responsibilities include leading efforts in autonomous driving software quality and advancing research and development in machine learning, control, and planning for autonomous vehicles since February 2019. Prior to this, Fangkai Yang served as a senior applied researcher at MAANA from October 2017 to January 2019, focusing on integrating knowledge representation and reasoning with reinforcement learning for intelligent agents. Fangkai Yang also worked as an artificial intelligence engineer at Schlumberger Software Technology, contributing to the development of automated systems for drilling software between May 2014 and October 2017. Fangkai Yang's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, where research centered on logic-based artificial intelligence and commonsense reasoning from August 2008 to May 2014.
