Jim Dinan

Director, Distinguished Engineer at Nvidia

Jim Dinan is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in high-performance computing and software development. Currently serving as a Distinguished Engineer at NVIDIA since January 2020, Jim specializes in GPU communications software and hardware/software codesign for scalable systems. Prior roles include Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation from May 2013 to December 2019, where Jim led efforts in HPC system design and exascale computing programming models. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Argonne National Laboratory, with research focused on parallel programming models and scalable runtime systems, as well as academic positions at the University of Chicago and The Ohio State University. Jim's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Germanic Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
