Joel Emer

Joel Emer is a Senior Distinguished Research Scientist at Nvidia, where they have been contributing since 2014. Prior to this role, they were a Fellow at Intel from 2001 to 2014 and held various positions at Compaq, including Sr Consulting Engineer and Fellow, from 1979 to 1998. Joel Emer served as a Professor of the Practice, Visiting Faculty, and Visiting Scientist at MIT in 2010. They hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
