John St John is a Principal Drug Discovery AI Applied Scientist at NVIDIA since December 2023, following a role as Senior Applied Scientist, Special Projects at Amazon from October 2022 to December 2023. Previously, John held positions at Ravel Biotechnology, including Principal Machine Learning Scientist and Principal Computational Biologist - Machine Learning from April 2021 to October 2022. John worked at Freenome from January 2018 to April 2021, serving as Sr. Manager & Staff Scientist for Computational Research and as a Staff Computational Biologist. Prior to that, John co-founded Driver, where contributions included Co-Founder & Software Engineer and Bioinformatics Lead from September 2012 to December 2017. John began an academic career as a PhD Candidate in Bioinformatics at the University of California, Santa Cruz from September 2009 to September 2012 after earning a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same university and a BS in Computer and Information Science from the University of Oregon.
