Kai Xu

Kai Xu is a seasoned professional in deep learning and machine learning with extensive experience in model optimization, algorithm development, and deployment across various platforms. Currently serving as a Senior Deep Learning Algorithm Engineer at NVIDIA since February 2023, Kai specializes in large language models and MLPerf benchmarks. Previous roles include Staff Research Scientist at OmniML, where core algorithm development of the "Omnimizer" product was a key focus before the company was acquired by NVIDIA. Additional experience encompasses work as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at CoCoPIE Inc., a Senior Software Engineer at InnoPeak Technology, and a Research Intern at Kuaishou Technology and Alibaba Group, among others. Kai holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Arizona State University, a Master's degree in Circuits and Systems from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shandong University.
