Maxwell Cai

Maxwell Cai is a deep learning research engineer and high-performance computing practitioner at NVIDIA, where they prototype and optimize AI-accelerated HPC workloads. With a Ph.D. in computational astrophysics obtained in 2016, Maxwell possesses over 10 years of R&D experience in scientific software development using Python, C, and C++. Their past roles include serving as an AI & HPC Advisor at SURF and a Staff Engineer at Intel Corporation, where they focused on co-developing AI models and optimizing workloads for supercomputers. Maxwell has also engaged in teaching and student supervision, notably delivering a workshop on parallel machine learning at the University of Cambridge.
