Myungjong Kim

Myungjong Kim is an accomplished engineering manager currently leading the Speech AI team at NVIDIA, focusing on speech AI for NVIDIA Riva since June 2022. Previously, Myungjong held the position of staff machine learning researcher at Samsung Research America, where contributions included advancements in Bixby's voice assistant and end-to-end ASR models. Prior experience includes roles as a speech scientist at Avoma, Inc., and a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Texas at Dallas, with a strong emphasis on automatic speech recognition and machine learning algorithms. Myungjong's academic background features a PhD and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, coupled with research experience in signal analysis and acoustic modeling.
