Rich Harang

Rich Harang is an AI security expert with over a decade of experience in research and development, currently serving as the Principal Security Architect (AI/ML) at NVIDIA. In this role, Harang leads the security efforts of NVIDIA's AI initiatives, focusing on large language models and generative AI. Prior to this, Harang held positions such as Director of Data Science Research at Sophos and Team Lead at the U.S. Army Research Lab, where they specialized in statistical modeling and machine learning applications for network security. Harang earned a PhD in Statistics and Applied Probability from the University of California, Santa Barbara, following a BS in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
