Rick Compton

Rick Compton is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in operations and engineering. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations for System Engineering at NVIDIA since March 2011, Rick oversees the engineering of various commercial and consumer products, including mobile and GPU chips, graphics cards, and deep learning systems. Prior to NVIDIA, Rick held significant roles such as Vice President of Systems Engineering at Beceem Communications and Chairman and CEO at Cequint, Inc. Additional leadership positions include Vice President at Atrua Technologies and CTO at Monet Mobile Networks, Inc. Rick's early career featured roles as R&D Director at Lucent Technologies and R&D Manager at Hewlett-Packard, as well as serving as an Associate Professor at Cornell University. Rick holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Sydney.
