Ryan Spring is a Deep Learning Frameworks Engineer currently working on NvFuser, a fusion CUDA kernel generator for deep learning at NVIDIA. Ryan previously held roles as an Applied Scientist Intern at A9.com and as a PhD Research Intern at both NASA Langley Research Center and MERL, where their research focused on machine learning and deep learning techniques. Ryan earned a PhD in Computer Science from Rice University, where their dissertation investigated efficient training of large-scale neural networks. Prior to their PhD, Ryan obtained both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
