Sameer Halepete is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as Vice President of VLSI Engineering at NVIDIA Corporation since October 2002. In addition to this role, Halepete is a member of the Board of Directors and contributed to the establishment of the NVIDIA Foundation. Previously, Halepete held the position of Director of HW Engineering at Transmeta Corporation, where responsibilities included managing a team of 70 engineers and leading the design of a high-performance VLIW x86 microprocessor. Earlier in the career, Halepete worked at Sun Microsystems Inc. as a Member of Technical Staff, focusing on low threshold voltage CMOS technology. Halepete holds an MSEE from Stanford University and a BSEE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
