Sanjoy Das

Sanjoy Das is a seasoned software engineer and leader in the field of deep learning compilers, currently serving as Director, SWE - Deep Learning Compilers at NVIDIA since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sanjoy held various positions at Cruise, including Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Staff Tech Lead, where responsibilities included leading the ML compiler team and supporting the autonomous vehicle technology. Sanjoy's earlier experience includes significant contributions at Google as a Staff Tech Lead, managing the ML GPU team and working on TensorFlow and XLA, as well as individual contributions to LLVM and a software engineering role at Azul Systems, where Sanjoy was key in the development of an optimizing JVM JIT compiler. Sanjoy holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
