Shuang Wu

Shuang Wu is a Principal Engineer at NVIDIA since May 2022, specializing in offline perception through mapping automation, auto-labeling, and perception-map fusion, along with generative models for synthetic data and simulation. Co-founded a stealth startup from July 2020 to May 2022, focusing on 3D perception and learning methodologies. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager and Research Scientist at YITUTech, where responsibilities included establishing research offices and leading machine learning algorithm development. Additionally, Shuang Wu held roles as Senior Research Scientist and Senior Architect at Baidu USA, contributing to mandarin speech recognition and neural-network-based ad prediction systems. Earlier experience includes a senior software engineering position at Ooyala, leading recommendation system development, and a postdoctoral role at UCLA, focusing on advanced motion estimation algorithms. Shuang Wu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Southern California.
