Vaibhav Thukral is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in autonomous vehicles and augmented reality. Currently serving as Director of Engineering for Autonomous Vehicles Mapping at NVIDIA since October 2017, Vaibhav has played a pivotal role in developing NVIDIA's autonomous vehicles platform. Prior to this, significant tenure at Microsoft from June 2004 to October 2017 included positions such as Principal Development Lead for HoloLens Science, where Vaibhav worked on next-generation projects in computer vision and machine learning, and Senior Developer Team Lead for NEXT Augmented Reality, leading a team focused on innovative research. Additional roles at Microsoft involved contributions to SharePoint and various Bing services. Vaibhav holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology.
