Vinay Raman

Vinay Raman is a Senior Deep Learning Scientist and Senior Software Engineer at NVIDIA, focusing on LLM-RAG for text, image, and multimodal applications since September 2021. Previously, Vinay served as a Staff Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at ICE Mortgage Technology, leading end-to-end machine learning initiatives for document understanding from March 2021 to September 2021. Prior to that, Vinay worked as a Senior Computational Scientist at Aramco from January 2014 to March 2021, where important projects included developing deep-learning hybrid models for porous-media flow simulations and creating novel neural network architectures for thermodynamic phase identification. An externship at BlackRock in late 2011 involved optimization of equity portfolios and the development of a high-performing in-house index. Vinay holds a PhD in Statistical/Computational Physics with a minor in Mathematical Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
