Walter Simson

Walter Simson is a Senior AI Engineer at NVIDIA, focusing on advanced ultrasound perception. They earned a PhD in Deep Learning for Medical Imaging from the Technical University of Munich under Prof. Nassir Navab and have worked on ultrasound reconstruction alongside Prof. Jeremy Dahl at Stanford University. Previously, Walter served as a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich, where they contributed to several robotic ultrasound projects and supervised students, while also developing open-source tools for deep learning in ultrasound research.
