Wei Ping

Wei Ping is a distinguished research scientist with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and deep learning. Currently serving as a Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA since June 2022, Wei Ping leads research efforts in retrieval-augmented large language models (LLMs). Previously, as a Senior Research Scientist at NVIDIA, significant contributions included work on generative AI and factuality-enhanced LLMs. Wei Ping also held notable roles at Baidu USA, including Team Lead for neural text-to-speech projects and work on influential publications such as Deep Voice 3 and neural voice cloning. Early career experience includes a research internship at Microsoft applying machine learning techniques. Wei Ping holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology.
