Ying Li

Ying Li is a Senior Perception Engineer specializing in Deep Learning at NVIDIA since November 2021. Prior to this role, Ying served as a Senior Research Engineer at Volvo Car Technology USA, where significant contributions included leading a capstone project in collaboration with California University of Berkeley and Chalmers University of Technology, and publishing a paper on pedestrian intention prediction. Ying also played a pivotal role in the release of the large LiDAR dataset CIRRUS and improved algorithms for LiDAR object detection and tracking. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, and an internship in the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) group at Volvo Cars R&D Silicon Valley Tech Center. Ying Li holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
