Stefan Markovic

Stefan Markovic, PhD, P.Geo, is an accomplished geoscientist specializing in geochemistry and environmental management, currently contributing to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization since May 2022. With previous experience as a geochemist at Klohn Crippen Berger, Stefan focused on geochemical characterization and construction quality assurance in tailings areas. As an environmental geoscientist with the Great Lakes Sustainability Fund and the University of Toronto, Stefan managed extensive environmental projects, showcasing analytical and problem-solving skills through the assessment of water quality and regulatory compliance, resulting in over ten peer-reviewed publications. Additional roles include contributions as a geochemical technician, quality assurance assistant, teaching assistant, and intern in various research and environmental projects, supported by a PhD in Geology from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Petrology and Geochemistry from the University of Belgrade.
