Robert Mahoney has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Robert currently holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at Northwest Pipe Company since February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the President of Mahoney Consulting from November 2016. Robert also served as the President of Jindal Tubular USA from July 2015 to November 2016.

Before venturing into consulting and presidency roles, Mahoney held significant positions at Northwest Pipe Company. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, where they played a key role in driving the strategy development process and leading acquisition and divestiture efforts. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2011, they were the President of the Tubular Products Group at Northwest Pipe Company, contributing to a substantial growth in revenue and leading the company's entry into the energy pipe business. Robert also oversaw the construction of a new plant and the modernization of two others.

Mahoney's work experience also includes a six-year tenure in the U.S. Army, serving as an Aviation Branch Officer. During their time in the army from May 1984 to August 1990, they held progressive leadership and staff positions in helicopter units, specializing in utility, scout, and attack aircraft.

Robert Mahoney earned their Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 1990 to 1992.
