Darin Andersen has been involved in a variety of roles in the cybersecurity industry since 2008. In 2008, they founded and served as the Founding Chairman of Securing Our eCity, an initiative focused on cybersecurity awareness, preparedness, and education. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Chairman and Founder of CyberTECH, a cybersecurity initiative that encourages best practices in cyber technology. In 2013, they were the Director of CyberMaryland, an industry-driven initiative to drive growth in cybersecurity. In 2014, they became an Advisor for CyberFlow Analytics, a company that provides enterprise solutions to increasingly complex cybersecurity issues. In 2015, they were the Co-Chair of the Economic Development Subcommittee of the Cybersecurity Task Force in the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services. Darin also served as a Trustee Emeritus for the San Diego Police Foundation. From 2018 to 2019, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of NXT Robotics and President of the San Diego CoWorking Alliance. Currently, they are the Creative Director for Ecovino Tiny Home Resort.
Darin Andersen received a BA in Government and Literature from Claremont McKenna College in 1987. Darin then attended the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, where they earned an MBA in Finance and Operations Management in 1995 and an MS in Information Systems and Operations Management in 2000.
