Steve Shaw is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as a Senior Equipment Engineer at NY CREATES since November 2011, Steve specializes in equipment installation and the coordination of complex semiconductor tooling, collaborating with vendors to specify and install equipment through key contractors. Prior to this role, Steve held several positions at Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation, including Wet Systems/Plating Equipment Engineering, where responsibilities included maintenance, training, and system improvements. Steve's career also encompasses roles at Whatman PLC as a Process Equipment Development Engineer and at Fairchild Semiconductor as a Plasma Etch Equipment Engineer. Additionally, Steve was an Etch Equipment Engineer with National Semiconductor from 1987 to 1997. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Southern Maine and an Associate degree in Electronics from NMTC.
