Empower-ED is a student-led initiative based in Stuyvesant High School that supports underrepresented and underserved middle schoolers in navigating the NYC high school admissions process. Through free, high-quality tutoring, mentorship, and workshops, we help families understand their options, prepare for academic benchmarks, and feel confident in their next steps.

With 100 members and counting, Empower-ED is a growing network of high school volunteers passionate about educational equity. Our work spans one-on-one tutoring, fundraising, public seminars, and partnerships with schools across New York City.

We believe that access to quality education and opportunity shouldn't be based on privilege. By empowering students with knowledge, skills, and support, we aim to level the playing field.
