Javier E. Vargas

Javier E. Vargas is an experienced Judge of the NYS Court of Claims, currently serving since 2022. Prior to this, they held positions as a Judge in NYC Civil Court and Family Court, and as Chief Court Attorney at the Appellate Term. With a strong background in trials, appeals, and various areas of law, they have been an active participant in the NYS Judicial System since beginning their legal career as a Senior Court Attorney. Javier earned a J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.
