Why did MGKS change our name to Nydia Retirement Solutions?

After 25+ years, we felt it was time to look to the future and name our company something that reflects who we are now and our vision for the next 25+ years.

The name MGKS was derived from the initials of our four founding members, Matthews, Gold, Kennedy, and Snow. We are delighted that Russ Snow is still an essential part of our leadership team.

Derived from the Latin “nidus”, Nydia’s primary meaning is nest, home, or haven. We chose the name Nydia for our Retirement Planning Consulting Group because in everything we do, we strive to create a sense of comfort, protection, and family.

The Barn Swallow is often the first sign of home and land after a long journey away at sea.

We chose a barn swallow for our logo to represent the feeling of coming home and the security and comfort that we strive to provide to our clients, our partners, and our team.
