Yvette Griffith is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and a board director at Jazz re:freshed, with founding roles in GiveBLACK and the Black Funding Network. They also serve on the Black Lives in Music Taskforce. As Chief Exec & Executive Director of Jazz re:freshed, they secured Arts Council England National Portfolio status in 2015 and contributed to changing the trajectory and profile of British Jazz. Their work has been recognized with the H100 Award for Services to Music in 2019 and an OBE in the 2024 New Years Honours.
