Ciera Boyd has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Ciera began their career as an Editor at Pen Boutique in 2011 and then moved to GMMB in 2016 as a Global Health Office Intern, where they compiled daily news reports and organized spreadsheets for clients. In the same year, they also worked as a Scheduling & Advance Intern for the U.S. Department of Commerce, where they managed scheduling requests for the Secretary, secured diplomatic travel clearances, and provided logistical support for domestic events. In 2017, Boyd was an Intern at the Personal Office of Barack and Michelle Obama, where they drafted personal correspondence, provided staff support, and read and sorted incoming correspondence. Ciera then worked as an Access Control Specialist at OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation in 2018, before taking on their current role as a Business Support Specialist at Nyla Technology Solutions in 2018.

Ciera Boyd began their education in 2012 at Howard Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in International/Global Studies. In March of that same year, they obtained a certification in Applied Research for Visual Communications from Applications and Research. Ciera then continued their education at Howard University from 2016 to 2018, where they studied Political Science and Government.
