Dana Fields has over 30 years of experience in the media industry. Dana began their career in 1985 as National Sales Manager at Wenner Media's Rolling Stone Magazine. In 1986, they were promoted to Vice President, Advertising Director, where they oversaw national sales staff as well as promotion and research departments. During their time in this role, advertising revenue rose from $41,405,000 in 1986 to $71,092,000 in 1989, and advertising pages grew 35%. In 1990, they were promoted to Vice President, Group Publisher of Rolling Stone and US Magazines, with principal operating responsibility for both titles. Dana supervised a total staff of over 100, and their direct reports included sales, promotion, research and marketing, as well as satellite operations in six domestic offices. In 1997, they were promoted to Vice President, Group Publisher, Wenner Media, Inc., with continued responsibility for Rolling Stone and US, while assuming responsibility for Men’s Journal and corporate sales. Dana directed a major turnaround at Men’s Journal, with pages increasing 28% from 1996-1998 and revenue growing from $20,185,672 to $37,283,955. In 2008, they founded The Fields Consultancy, a new media company focused on fashion, music and entertainment, and served as its CEO. From 2010-2014, they also acted as an ongoing consultant for digital companies. In 2014, they joined Nylon Media as Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer & Publisher, where they were responsible for all print, digital display, branded video and integrated advertising, in addition to a highly profitable events business. Dana also oversaw Nylon Media's sales, marketing, public relations and research staff, as well as circulation management, and was responsible for brand strategy for all platforms, including the successful development of native platforms and experiential marketing.

Dana Fields attended Duke University from 1974 to 1978, where they earned a BA Cum Laude in Art History.
