David Batson

Director of Engineering at Nyobolt

David Batson has over 38 years of experience in engineering. David began their career in 1982 as a Project Engineer at GTE Strategic Systems Division. In 1988, they moved to Yardney Technical Products Inc. as a Senior Project Engineer. In 1992, they joined Duracell Inc. as a Senior Engineer, where they worked on new product development from concept to production launch. In 2002, they became a Staff Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc., where they worked on new product development, circuit design, PCB design and layout, and mechanical packaging design. In 2006, they founded DCB Systems Inc. and served as President. In 2008, they joined A123 Systems, LLC as a Sr. Engineering Manager of Cell Development, where they worked on Li-Ion cell design and development for automotive, commercial and consumer applications. In 2020, they became a Principal Engineer at Solchroma, where they developed full color reflective digital displays for outdoor advertising and on-premise signage applications. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Factorial Energy as a Sr. Manager of Cell Development, where they managed the design engineering team developing solid state battery cells, developed and implemented engineering systems and controls, and supported new product transition from R&D to manufacturing. David also joined Nyobolt in 2022 as the Director of Engineering.

David Batson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
