Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is an accomplished emergency medical services professional with extensive experience in critical care and education. Currently serving as a Senior Emergency Care Instructor at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital since December 2015, Matthew provides pre-hospital emergency medical care in the New York City 911 System. In addition, Matthew holds the positions of Critical Care Paramedic and Quality Reviewer at DocGo, and serves as the Paramedic Program Coordinator at LaGuardia Community College, where stewardship of a well-respected Paramedic Program is maintained. Prior experience includes roles at Northwell Health System's Center for EMS and TransCare, contributing to advanced life support and quality improvement initiatives. Matthew's background also includes legal internships and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, complemented by an AB in Political Economy and Arab Studies from Georgetown University.
