Clare Cook

Clare Cook serves as the Artistic Director of Clare Cook Dance Theater since January 2012, where responsibilities include conceiving and choreographing original dance theater productions in collaboration with various artists, as well as managing administrative tasks such as marketing and fundraising. In addition to this role, Clare Cook has contributed as a Teaching Artist for the Metropolitan Opera Guild since July 2011, has been a Pilates Teacher in the Tisch Dance Department at New York University since September 2008, and has worked as a Ballet and Modern teaching artist at Dancewave since July 2012. Freelance choreography has also been a significant aspect of Clare Cook's career, including ongoing work with theaters in New York City since May 2008. Previously, Clare Cook was a Modern Dance Instructor at Louisiana State University during the summer of 2010 and a Dance Instructor and Choreographer at DeLarue Dance Centre from 2002 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication - Public Relations from Louisiana State University.
