Greg Trefry is a seasoned game designer and entrepreneur, co-founding Gigantic Mechanic in April 2009, where responsibilities include business development and leading the design of innovative gaming experiences. As Festival Director for the Come Out & Play Festival since September 2006, Trefry has spearheaded the first festival dedicated to pervasive, mobile, and location-based games in New York City. In academia, Trefry has served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University since 2007, teaching a course on Big Games that explores the evolution of gameplay beyond traditional formats, and previously held a position at Parsons The New School for Design from 2007 to 2010, where an introductory class on game analysis and design was taught. Trefry's experience in game design also includes a role at Gamelab from June 2005 to March 2009, contributing to various innovative game projects. Earlier in career, Trefry worked at Loan Pricing Corporation / Reuters from July 1998 to August 2004, transitioning from a reporter to Vice President, overseeing the development of web products. Academic credentials include an MPS from New York University and a BA from Northwestern University.
