Jack Caravanos

Clinical Professor

Jack Caravanos is a highly experienced professional in the field of environmental health, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for ACGIH since January 2020 and as a Clinical Professor of Global Environmental Health at New York University since September 2016. With a long-standing role as the Environmental Health Scientist and Director of Research at Pure Earth / Blacksmith since 2005, Caravanos also holds the title of Professor Emeritus at City University of New York, where contributions spanned four decades until 2017, focusing on global environmental health issues and urban industrial hygiene. Educational qualifications include a DrPH in Environmental Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and an MS in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Polytechnic University of New York.
