Mark Eels

Mark Eels possesses extensive experience in higher education administration and regulatory practice, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Student Services & Administration at New York University since October 2015. Responsibilities include oversight of student services, budgeting, and external communications. Previous roles at NYU include Manager of Operations & Finance, and involvement in key operational and academic transitions, notably during the pandemic. Mark has also held leadership positions outside academia, including Managing Director at Aurep PTY LTD, which represents clients in the medical import sector. A seasoned analyst and co-founder of China Cooperative, Mark has contributed to various research initiatives regarding international relations and policy, complemented by a solid academic foundation with degrees from leading institutions such as Peking University and the University of Sydney, where a PhD in International Political Economy is under pursuit.
