Martha Stark is a Clinical Professor of Practice at New York University, where responsibilities include teaching management, budget and finance, and leadership courses since September 2017. Stark has served as a Board Member for the New York University School of Law Foundation since October 2008 and previously held board positions with The Black Institute, GMHC, Inc., and the Prospect Park Alliance. A Distinguished Lecturer at Baruch College's School of Public Affairs from August 2009 to August 2017, Stark taught various courses, encompassing public and nonprofit sector management and program evaluation. Additionally, Stark was an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, teaching financial management to graduate students. Previously, Stark held leadership roles as Chairman and Board Member for both the New York City Employee Retirement System and the New York City Teachers Retirement System from 2003 to 2009. Stark earned a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University, along with an Associate of Science in Graphic Arts & Advertising from City Tech, CUNY.
