Peter Paik is a dedicated researcher and educator with extensive experience in engineering and academic support. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at New York University’s MERIIT Lab, Peter focuses on haptics-enabled teleoperation since February 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a Mechanical Engineering Aide at Con Edison, where Peter conducted HVAC analyses and drafted project specifications. Additionally, Peter has contributed to educational initiatives as a Physics Team Lead and Tutor for the TRIO Scholars Program, and as an instructor at the NYU Center for K12 STEM Education. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Mechatronics and Robotics, and is pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University.
