Roger S. serves as the Managing Director and Head of Sovereign ESG programs at Emerging Markets Investors Alliance (EMIA) since June 2022, overseeing the Sovereign ESG team and directing the Human Capital & Gender Equity Program. Concurrently, Roger holds an adjunct professor role at New York University, specializing in Country Risk and International Political Economy, where Roger was chosen to lead the Global Economy Concentration. Roger's previous experience includes significant roles such as Managing Director and Global Head of Country Risk Management at GE Capital, Director of Country Risk for the Americas at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and Managing Director and Head of Americas Sovereign Ratings at Fitch Ratings. Educational qualifications include an MBA in International Finance from The Wharton School, an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University, a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Tufts University, and a General Course in Government & Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
