Adjunct Professor

Roy Messaros, Ph.D., PE, PWS, CFM is a seasoned professional in environmental and water resources engineering with extensive experience in academia and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Research Project Manager at Rutgers University since June 2023, Roy collaborates on grant-funded projects while overseeing technical staff. In addition to this role, Roy has been an Adjunct Professor at New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology, teaching various courses on water resources engineering and hydrology. Previous positions include Director of Engineering at Princeton Hydro, and a Coastal and Hydraulic Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers, where Roy contributed to floodplain analysis and ecosystem restoration efforts. With a comprehensive educational background, including a Ph.D. in Coastal Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Roy's expertise spans across multiple facets of hydrology and environmental restoration.
